OK, so I figured out why the photos I was posting were getting squashed. It was Photobucket. When I grabbed the photos from the photobucket site, it was not copying them properly.
I started this new thread and will post new photos soon. Probably Monday.

Wow! I am quickly being convinced to look into those AK products. Is this a Kato?

Adam, yes this is a Kato GP35. The AK products are a very small part of this weathering. 85% of it is pigments and Pan Pastels. The AK products are the washes. My filters are made with Terpenoid and artist oils. Also, I use the AK interactive pigment setting solutions. Not always. I also use mineral spirits to set the pigments and Pan Pastels.

Thanks for the info. I'm really interested in trying some of these techniques you're using lately. What pigments do you use?

Pan Pastels - All the earth tones, gray tones, white, black and depending on the road you are modeling for instance i model MoPac so I also have a blue.

Beautiful job on this Brian. It's not even fully assembled but your pics still have me convinced that I am looking at a real loco. Well done indeed.

I'm getting ready to start my SP gp35R project and your weathering is beyond realistic..
Your engine as it sits looks like its in actual rebuild stage

Yes, I am using the esu 567 turbo file.
Tonight I started the hood weathering. I am doing one part at a time. Tonight I finished the nose. Tomorrow and Thursday I will work on the left side of the hood. Friday and Saturday I will work on the right side. Sunday the rear and start the roof. Monday finish the roof and Tuesday do any touch ups or blending and install the speaker/decoder PC board and solder it all up. Test it, button it up and it is done. Then photographs.

I remember seeing a post elsewhere on the speakers you used in the 40-2, but what did you use in this one? Are they the same discontinued speakers from before, or something new? If they are the same ones from before, did you ever figure out a replacement for those? They sound great.
