Here's some pics of my current project. It started as a Stewart VO1000. I cut the front hood off and also removed the front hood off a P2K SW1200. I made hood mods at the joining line like GM did when they rebuilt these for the Reading. I had to modify the frame a little to allow the shorter hood. I'm actually further along than the pictures. I will post them when I'm just about ready for paint. I'll also make the pics a little bigger next time.

The Rdg was going to purchase the SW1200 in the early 60's but decided to rebuild their older VO's. EMD came through with the best plan and most cost effective for them. So they became a kitbash for EMD. Rdg did buy 5 new SW1200s later in the 60's. The 1200m's were painted pullman green. 2 units were later repainted in the new bright green scheme in early 70's. All went to Conrail and were off the roster before 1980 I believe.
