Lookin' Good, Nick, and the magnet wire "ring" idea is excellent!! Thank you Robert! I've found magnet wire can be a useful detailing material. It's also what I built the light cage with on the Sou MP15 I did and have used it for various "wires" on my locos...even for "bleed rods" (I hope that is correct) under rolling stock. Thank you Miles!

Thank you William! Starting to re-paint the detailed areas and then on to weathering. Looks great so far! Are you going to repaint it back to the YN2 or YN3 scheme?

You know...I don't know which scheme the engine is in but that's the one I'm keeping. I didn't want to repaint the entire engine and my proto pic is the same scheme as my model.

fantastic craftsmanship there MR Nick Thank you Terry! Thank you Mike! I apologize for the super late replies. I probably saw that you guys had commented from my phone and meant to respond later that day on my computer...then my brain farted. I've been super busy (hardly any modeling time ) and just overlooked until now. I do appreciate you guys checking out my threads and I hope to have an update in the not so distant future.

Beautiful work, Nick!! ..... for your own benefit, that "box" behind the cab, is the ECAFB. Basically an air cleaner box for the electronics, and an easy way to spot a "-2" from its earlier counterparts!
LOVE the work on those pilots, and your "Hanna-ized" lift bars are excellent!

Hey, what is the status on this locomotive?
Has real-life stolen your hobby time?
If so, I know the feeling.
Two moves in one year and the dismantling of brand new benchwork on one occasion has left me jonesing for my "fix".

Thank you double for the info and compliments Carmine! Hey, what is the status on this locomotive? Has real-life stolen your hobby time? If so, I know the feeling. Two moves in one year and the dismantling of brand new benchwork on one occasion has left me jonesing for my "fix" I'm afraid you are correct Miles. I have been super busy as of late and the Geep is collecting dust currently. All of the detail work is complete and I'm ready to paint the areas that need it and start weathering. Hopefully I'll be on it again soon. I hope you can get back to modeling soon too my man!

Sweet start! I must ask, are those open wheel bearing "covers" that go around the axle custom or a part? I model the CSX also, so these would be very helpful if they are indeed commercial.
