Has anyone built a NW5? I have only one photo of the unit and I need a photo of the short hood end. Also I would love suggestions for the frame.

there was a short piece in model railroader june 1989 pg124 and a short article on kitbashing one in Railroad model craftsman june 1975 pg28-29 and a drawing in an older copy Model Railroader, but cant find the date. It ahs the same wheelbase as a GP7-9, 31ft and the drawing shows an underframe very similar to the GP.s with the drop center frame

If it is in fact the same as the GP9 in length, I'd use this chassis with a clean slate for a fuel tank. www.ppw-aline.com/frfrgp79.htmIf you could score a pair of Kato NW2 shells, you'd pretty much have the major pieces for the model. It does have one of the weirdest pilot plates I've ever seen tho...
