Here is my completed Kaslo M420, as CNR #3536. It rides on a heavily modified Atlast U23B chassis. Enjoy the pics, and thanks for looking! More pics on my blog, www.bogenvilleterminalrailway.blogspot.com Thanks, Efram

Really makes me want to finish mine. How did you mount the sideframes?

Hi Taylor,
There are a few steps to mounting the sideframes. It's almost easier if I were to show you a picture. You have to cut the axle ends flush with the wheel face. The wheels are then removed from the plastic gear sleeve. The sleeve is cut down to allow room for the wiper to be mounted between the wheel and the sleeve. The wiper opening in the wipers for the axle has an opening that is kind of "pinched" to hold it on the axle. It must be filed flush. Then you have to fabricate new mounting pins on the back of the sideframe. It's really not hard once you have the system down. I copied the technique from the instructions provided with the Details West sideframe mounting kits.

Efram, I gotta say you're setting the bar pretty high... Think you got the cojones to top this?
