I bought some rail power products shells long ago . I wanted a high hood GP35 and didn't like the hood ends railpower had so I cut and filed the shells hood ends off and replaced them with Cannon high hood ends. I didn't used the cannon high hood kit I just removed the part of the shells short hood sides and front and made it the 81" length and build up the sides with styrene. I made the roof from part of a athearn GP50 I used for parts and other details I needed. I did the same thing with a railpower SD45 shell but only the short hood .

Looks like your off to a good start on both. Ive always wanted to do 2 or 3 Milwaukee Road GP35s but ive never found a good starting point for the phase 2c or whatever the Milwaukees were. Too many ongoing projects right now for another major kitbashing project (or 3). Maybe by the time Im ready to start someone will come out with a more correct phase 2 unit to start with.
Cant wait to see more progress on these. im always a fan of seeing how good the old railpower shells can end up looking.
