Here is my latest Project, Spokane Portland & Seattle Alco C425, Roadnumber 325. Its an Overland Model, i installed the horn and antenna and painted it. I used True Color Paints for the first time, beside a strange smell and some more work necessary to clean the airbrush, the paint is easy to work with...

Very nice, the paint is pretty smooth. Did you thin the paint before airbrushing? What pressure did you use? Sorry for the questions but I am trying to get a feel for Tru-Color as I am wanting to use it myself.
Thanks

You did a nice job. Alcos look good in SP&S paint and this one looks really good. I too would like to read more about your True Color techniques.

Thanks guys. Regarding your questions:
I first used the paint straight from the bottle, however, the airbrush was clogged very fast, so i thinned the paint, using the true color thinner. I sprayed with 1,8 bars, which should be around 25 PSI. I only used the orange and green from True color, the satin finish is from Polly Scale, my favourite paint brand...

Thanks for sharing your technique. I too love the Polly scale paint. A beautiful thin coat covers very well with Polly. I have heard that using straight acetone works good to thin the True Color also.

Anthony I have used the True colors I love them I use Acetone thinner from the hardware store a lot cheaper than the tru color thinner,
and yes I had too thin mine as it was a little thick but as Erik C415 pointed out watch the color of the lid I have white lids and black lids the both use different amounts of thinners I'm using a #3 tip in my Pasche single action flows very nicely and covers with a thin layer of paint leaving the details highlighted.
and Milw that is a very very nice looking SP&S Alco sorry to hijack your thread there for a moment

Thanks, I used the white on some cab roofs not long ago and it coveted nicely and with only 2 coats. I did thin with Acetone.
I will be moving over to this paint as my stock of Poly and Floquil runs out.
