I just got a Kaslo M420B kit off feebay, and I was curious if anyone here has built one of these. More specifically, I'd like to know what errors need to be corrected and what significant details are omitted. I'm not really that good at comparing prototype photos and picking up missing details, not that there are a ton of M420B photos on the internet.
Thanks,
Chris

Theres a lot of slicing, grinding, and dicing to do to the ATLAS U23B frame to get it to look right. This is my M420 P&W unit.

I built one for a client quite a few years ago now. Overall, pretty much everything was in the kit to match the proto-type. I did add the horn and drop grabs. I also used different cut bars and air hoses as the ones in the kit are flat etchings and don't look all that great. I think the toughest part was the side frame conversion. I didn't like how they instructed to do it as it put the brake shoes out too far from the tread face. I was able to correct it to my liking, but not the way they instructed .... Mark.
