Here are some pics of the DD35s. One is primed and the other two are SP and UP. I still have some work to do on the other ones. Carl

I had a customer request for a unique locomotive. Here is a couple of pics of a MONON fantasy DD40 locomotive with a high nose. It has a steam generator in the nose for passenger service. Looks very good with a high nose. More to come....

I use to get excited when I would get to spot Espee's units on the Colton - Taylor Yard transfers back in the early-70s, running with the U50Bs. An old friend of mine helped me to learn how to distinguish various units and the memory of these boosters remain fresh to this day. In fact, a brass model of one of these units remains one of my favorite memories... one created not long before my father died back in '69. Hadn't seen one in person up until about a year later but the model still sticks in my mind quite strongly and when I did get to see some it was a real joy. I miss those days... but then I believe I miss my Dad even more...

When my Dad was stationed at Norton A.F.B., I was a young kid with a camera, and a friend who would drive me to Colton, Riverside and San Berdoo. I even got the Yardmaster to let us up IN Colton Tower!! That was 1974-77. GREAT memories. That's all for my "Threadjacking".... Now, those DD35s - and HIGH HOOD DD40 models!! That is IMPRESSIVE!
