Hello friends, I want to thank you for your comments.
The idea was to make it work very worn with lack of maintenance
this scheme is more "clean" but hey seen some worst
Greetings! and keep working on this

Nice work! I always thought that was a classy scheme. I agree, they should have use this as their scheme rather than the GN inspired one. Nice work on the model!

Hi Fedemar, Could I offer a suggestion? I know you aren't directly modeling this prototype, but please refer to the photos for my feedback. www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1748842If you'll note, even on this relatively clean shot of 9813, that the grilles have a hint of brown. I feel that the effect you've captured on your unit gives the impression that there is soot from a fire in the long hood grilles. Typically, these grilles are used for air intake, and generally display little exhaust trails. They tend to turn brown cause they suck in airborne dirt and dust. This is just my personal opinion, and, (obviously,) your work is VERY good. I especially like your rust patches. You did state you wanted to learn. I hope I haven't offended you. Keep up the good work. Efram

Efram Hello how are you? I like that all contribute opion and experience! should not offend any member here since it is all learner's, I like the detail you've noticed, I'll consider. When preparing paint again I will correct. Greetings friend!

Hey fedemar,
I was wondering if you could explain some of the techniques you used to weather this locomotive. I have a few that I want to weather soon and I always get stumped on how to go about it.
Thanks,
Chris
