I've been out of model railroads for about 10 years. I picked up these models off ebay for cheap and weathered and detailed them. Some already had a start while others where just box stock. I also included a few patched CSX chessie units I did about 15 years ago. 1. Is a proto 2000 gp30. It was a c&o H.S. uniot with no unit number. I chose #3044 for it due to the nice photo of that unit in the chessie diesel book. Little did I know Proto 2000 released that as a box stock number. Wish I did my research a bit better. I'm doing chessie from 1980 to early CSX So My GP 30 depicts a fresh GP30M rebuild. 2. These are my athearn blue box sd40-2's They are both #7614. One of which is a very early unit with no anti climbers. I left that one the original number while the other I renumbered to 7610. I added a decent amount of detail to them both. I don't want a super detailed engine due to these being used and handled often. 3. My patched and weatherd SD40-2 4. Random pics of my chessie fleet so far.

I like them all but am mostly fond of the SD40-2's.
