Hi Though not recent work, this Lamoille Valley RS-11 is finally heading to the paint shop.Only been sitting round like this for about 5 years! Not detailed to the extent of more recent models, but fun to do never the less. Decals and weathering soon. Although I don't model the LV, it was a cool railroad with a lot of character. Cheers

Where did the short hood doors come from? Also, did you do a C415 yet?

Hi Thanks for being interested in my RS-11 and the other 2 LVRC Alcos. The RS-3s are both former D&H units that worked the Lamoille Valley formany years. The 7803 shows the pre chop nose look and the 7804 in the back is the result of the railroad's own work. These are both painted now.
The RS-11 is one of the light weight RS-11s that worked the DP&W, GT and CV. They have dynamic brakes in the short hood which means they have air intakes in the hood side. To simulate the intakes I used a set of RS-3 doors. If I was to do it again, I'd use Archer Decals. Cheers Steve

I haven't started the C-415 yet, but one day. I'm looking at what's out there that I can use for parts. Got most of it sorted. I just have so many half built projects, I shouldn't start another. But a C-415 in N scale would be cool. Cheers Steve

Hi Here's the 7803, just needing a couple of minor things to finish it off. The 7804 is painted, but needs the handrails reattached before I takeaphoto. Cheers Steve

Amazing!
Is that a GP with its hood off exposing the prime mover?

Yes Bob, It's an old (1970s) Atlas/Roco GP-9. One of my early projects, that featured a Detail Associates EMD prime mover. It wasn't overly detailed, but it's always been an interesting model. Cheers Steve
