Hello I have an atlas H 16-44 with a factory installed decoder. My problem is that the lights are very dim when i run it in dcc. when i switch the decoder to plain dc the lights are much brighter. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks Vlad

I'll ask the obvious first .... you don't have F4 (dimming) turned on do you ?

Ok - Next obvious question .... what is the voltage you have on the rails for your DCC system in comparison to your DC voltage where you claim they are brighter ?
Most DCC systems have around 13 to 14 volts on the rails which gives around 12.5 volts to the lights after rectification. A DC throttle could have as much as 15 to 16 volts at full throttle.

I'm using a Sprog IIv3 programmer/controller as I currently don't have a layout. Its volyage output is only 12v. That is most likely the issue. Thanks for your tips Mark!
