How'd you get the ACI plate to stick to the handrail?

I love it!!! How'd you get the ACI plate to stick to the handrail? Hi Vincent, What I did there was slid the Microscale* decal ACI label onto a very thin sheet of clear plastic and set it with Microscale* Solvaset solution. Once the decal set and the solution dried, I sealed it with Dull-cote* then I used carefully cut around the borders of the ACI label with a sharp Exacto* blade, then I applied a micro drop of CA to adhere it to the hand rail stanchion. Thank You good Sir for the upbeat comment and inquiry. GaRy

I like it. The light touch on the weathering gives it a well used but not ready for the scrapper look. The traction sand weathering on the trucks really draws the eye. Nice job.

Gary, pics 3 and 4 are my favorites. That tunnel motor looks right at home in the snow. The underframe weathering is the highlight for me. Seriously intense!

I appreciate the generous comments fellas!
@ Daniel: The underframe was shot with a flat camouflage beige paint and then dry washes with black pastel powder over the heavier concentrated areas of oil and grime were applied.
Thanks all for the kind feedback.

The trucks are so cool. The weathering is spot on for heavily used trucks. Everything just came together so nicely with the weathering. Just flat out great!

A genuine Thank you Brian. Cool to catch a nice comment from a locomotive builder as admirable as you. Perhaps I will see you in Collinsville next week?
I was a bit skeptical about painting the whole under frame in this color,..but according to the prototype reference shot I had employed, it seemed that this one and quite a few other EMD tunnel motors on the D&RGW roster had this effect of traction sand residue dusting on the trucks, fuel tank and the entire under frame. I have had a few guys (since viewing this model) elsewhere, debate this idea, so it enlightens me to receive the Brian Banna stamp of approval.
Again,...Much Thanks for a kind word here.

Gary,
What you did with the weathering, I have been trying to accomplish for a long time. The multiple shades of "crap" on the side frames is dead on. I am not a railroader, but i have been under my share of motive power. It is not clean under there. Lots of earthy tones.
Yes, I will be in Collinsville next week. I am looking forward to it.
