I model a Guilford Rail system as if it were a fair sized class one. What if the D&H had never gone bankrupt and never gotten sold etc. Here's just one of my many fantasy units. Started as an Athearn bnsf SD70ACe and also a Athearn CN SD70M-2. Wanted the iso cab so I took it from the BNSF unit and slapped it together with the CN car body. I wanted all the Canadian louvers and SD70M-2 detail. I also added lots of MU hosing and other details around the locomotive. Then came up with my own Guilford "white boxcar" / new image scheme. I have other M-2s in the classic GRS paint scheme as well as a patched EX FEC M-2. I plan to do many more as well as heritage Maine Central and Boston and Maine units soon. ES44s will be soon on Guilford Rails as well. I currently have one in an americana scheme lettered for GRS and the B&M#2076. GUILFORDSD70 EDIT (187.16 KB) Thanks for looking I will post more pictures and updates on my fantasy GRS soon. Tim

That is really nicely done. Staying with the Guilford theme and the weathering really helps set it off. Very nice. Is this your first one?

Brilliant. Pardon the pun but that paint scheme has Guildford just written all over it, excellent freelancing.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. Yes I tried to get the best of Guilford in there but modernize it a lot. This is my first in this fantasy scheme. I will post more pictures soon of my others in classic GRS schemes and more of these as well. Thanks again everyone

I like your idea. My freelance is based on the Fitchburg Div., as if Guilford sold out in order to concentrate on Pan Am Airways. My centerpiece will be E. Deerfield.
The main power will be high horsepower 4 axle power, just like the B&M.
I had thought of having the MEC and B&M still exist and jointly managed, just like they were under Edward French. The problem was too much kitbashing to get prototypical B&M power.
