Here is a sort of time line / progress from start to finish. 8853 still has a few hours left of work before it hits the rails in "revenue service".

I have been watching your build quietly and am very impressed how you joined the different body shells and made them look like it was one shell. Very clean build.
Overall i think you have hit the nail on the head with this build, from the joining of the body to the weathering. Very nice job. Thanks for sharing your build.
I have one question though, the trucks that on are this model, they are the early Hi-ad, did the -9 regular cab have these? I am not a big GE fan or builder so i was just curious. And if I missed a pic or explanation earlier i apologize.

Thanks guys. Antlorch, I have been meaning to build a few of these for a while and finally got everything together to do it. And yes, the standard / conventional cab NS -9s did have the Hi-ad trucks. NS makes themselves hard to model, especially now since the have jumped into the rebuild phase with both feet. Here is a bit more today.

Very nice. The weathering is just enough and not over done, detail is excellent and right on. Great job and keep them coming along. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys. It means that the countless hours in the basement yielded a good representation of an NS -9. Now that I have figured out how to post pics via Photobucket, I plan to contribute regularly.
