Hey guys. Here is something I have been working on for the last few weeks. Its a pair o NS C40-9s (standard cabs). I started with Kato C44-9W locos and transplanted Atlas C40-8 cabs, bases and battery boxes.

Well, that brings me up to my current level of completion with these two. They are turning out to be enjoyable builds because the Atlas & Kato measurements are very close to each other, aside from the shim that you need to put under the nose.

Those are Smokey Valley stanchions. They came out of a set that was going be used on a RPP C30-7. That build never got off the ground so I had them sitting around for some time. They aren't 100% accurate but very close to those on the prototype NS -9s

Made a little progress on one of the two -9s today. Minus a few small items, we are getting close to completion

Well, the first of two is done and awaiting the paint shop. I was going to wait for the 2nd to be done so I could paint them at the same time, but the 2nd -9 is significantly behind this on. e.
