I Have been working on this BNSF Dash 9 for a little while and I've run into a problem where the Decals are not coming off the sheet after leaving them in the water. i have already messed up a few decals and i really cant afford to mess up any of the others. could anyone suggest what i can do to have the decals come off the sheet really easily and not shred at the slightest touch

Did you use warm water or cool? Try using warm water.

Well, warm water is a start, letting them soak long enough and then let them sit (with the backing paper still on) on a piece of paper towel for a few minutes and they should slide easily. If the decal is breaking at the slightest touch, you probably have old decals. Microscale makes a product called Microscale Liquid Decal film that you paint over and let dry before you use them.
Also, your version of warm and what is warm enough may be two different things. I use warm like baby bottle warm, (ie you can't feel a temp difference on the inside of your wrist). Also make sure the dish or container you use is warmed as well or that will suck all the warmth out of the water faster than you think. I have been looking for a coffee mug warmer that plugs into 110V that I can put my decal dish on to keep from refilling the water to keep it warm enough.

I'd like to see some pics of your model. I have recently picked up my dash 9's as well. They are getting a little closer to completion everyday...
