My freelance Texas RR ran from a connection with Frisco in Paris Tx. to Houston Tx. It was controlled by the Frisco and gave Frisco a friendly direct rout to Houston. TRR also had connections with ATSF, SSW, MKT, KCS, RI & T&P. TRR,s main online traffic was pulp wood, paper, grain, livestock, meat, cement, & sand-gravel. Also some piggy back in conjunction with Frisco. My RR also had numerous branches that I haven,t figured out yet. My RR is a MKT-CGW-RI ish type line (dirty old 1st generation power). My line was a victim of the BN-Frisco merger and suffered the same fate as RI. I model 1965 when the RR was struggling and went bankrupt in the late 60,s or early 70,s. I,m still working on a color scheme. My RR like others bought diesels from FM,BLW,Alco & EMD when converting from steam and didn't thank about standardizing until the FM,s started braking down and were sent to EMD for repowering. That is my story and I,m sticking to it (maybe) !

Sounds pretty neat, this is different. So i am assuming your engines will be pretty ratty also? Do you have a scheme in mind? What colors are you thinking of using?

I,m thanking about something like Frisco,s black scheme, but maroon instead of black ,the old color scheme will be will be more colorful and there will still be some units in the old scheme. I like safety stripes but not too many my RR is having hard times so the management is trying to save money so I don,t want to get too fancy.
