I scored one of the Wrigttrak Southern cabeese on Ebay for $35 not too long ago. I plan on numbering it X758 like the one in Gibsonville, NC. As always I'm waiting on detail parts, and decals. The real thing. rrpicturearchives.net/rspicture.aspx?id=100618I've got the flashing cleaned out of the windows and a test fit of the roof.

I got one of these cabooses on order. Earl is out... They're worth it, they come with Atlas trucks. You will need a drill and tap set for truck mounting screws. You also need coupler pockets.

Bobs clinic on building this sweet kit is very informative and Bob told me a few pointers here and there use a an epoxy type CA like CYPOX and prime your model when done with an acrylic type primer in order to get good paint adhesion on your finish color paint\what parts are you ordering for this kit/you will need microscale decal set ((MC 4084) . what parts are you ordering? only thing i needed was air line hose for brakes /you should also pick up an radio control car a must for the Southern modeler and also another Bob built master creation/if you do the radio car you need to order from the SOUTHERN RAILWAY HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION MAGAZINE from their store an Issue of ties magazine NOV-DEC 2009)( they also have an issue on the caboose i cant find the issue but it was recent

I plan on building one, few more SOU cabeese in bothe all red and yellow belly local with subsidiary lettering, and a CofG caboose. I've got their waffle side boxcar. I like their castings they look good.

After looking in the box AGAIN, I realized the interior was up in the shell ! So, I have it...yay! I emailed Gary back and told him how dumb I am and he was kind in his reply email. lol I'm really looking forward to building this kit. It'll look real nice behind a train being pulled by my NS 4610. I've got to finish up two cars I'm working on now first. One is a BN covered hopper and the other is a TTX depressed center flat with scratched load (which I'm entering into a flat car w/h load contest...if it gets done in time).

While on the subject of Southern cabs, here is the latest model to roll out of the shop. This is the WrightTrak resin model painted with ModelFlex as a primer and with SCII as the color coat. The decals are from a Microscale set and the final clear coat is a mix of Testor's Dullcoat (60%) and Glosscoat (40%) thinned 70%. The couplers are KD and the tucks and wheels are from Atlas.

Brian Brian, those GP-30 parts you just received would certainly make a nice looking locomotive to couple to your new cab when you build it. Holler at me before you begin work on your cab so I give you a few corrections that need to be made on Gary's model. Bob
