I have an undecorated Atlas C30-7 that will be receiving details and paint to become LRCx 8112. I got a couple questions before I begin. For the nose light, who makes a part for the headlight? And also who makes the cover up plate for above the cab where the headlight used to be? Let me upload a pic here is a sec

Here are some pictures of what the unit looks like. I have started to blank out the windows that are not needed. I have also removed the Atlas horn and replaced with a brass one. I have also installed the snowplow, and have the holes drilled for the MU hoses. I have also added all the grab irons that came with the unit. The handrails are on just to see how they fit in the holes. the fellow who I am doing this for, wanted this engine to be a dummy. I took the motor and running gears out. i then preceeded to cut away part of the weight, so that you could see in the cab. In this photo you can see I have cut the weight away. A closer picture of the cut. You can see here that the cab sits directly where the weight was before the cut. I had to cut away part of the shell so that you could see in. Atlas had the whole cab blocked off, beacuse of the weight. I cut it away and made a cab to detail later. As you can see here, the process of openign up the cab is done.

Cool looking LRC unit! If I'm not mistaken only a few units got the green and gold paint. Here's an LRC SF30C I built: 1st the prototype: And the model: Modle is an Overland body mounted on an Atlas U33C drive (Overland model had a tank drive) The LRCX decals were made by Oro Decals (thanks Mark!) unfortunatly the chuck wagon decal on the battery box was not produced with the set. Now for the green and gold unit, I'm not sure if decals have been made, you may have to get them made or cobble something together from several lettering sets. -Trevor

The camera didn't pick up the weathering all that well. I will have to take some outdoor shots.

Some indoor pics. Anyone have a good way to take pictures indoors. I have two fluorescents on each side of the module and one on top. That is enough light, and I still cannot get good pics.

That looks great! I am trying different settings on my camera to get the right color of light and so on. The colors in that picture are spot on.
