David, You have any updates on this project? Hi Andrew and all-No further work as of now on this project or any other, and I have plenty others... I have been quite busy with the hustles and bustles of life for that last two months, LOL! As far as trains go, I have been able to get some train pictures in here and there. But no models yet. It's coming though as soon as I can buy some free time and find more currency to put in... I have to get a parts list turned in for this and a few other projects so I can continue. I do have some plans with in the next few weeks to get this one back on the bench for a bit.

I know I'm bumping a pretty old thread but, I have to ask and hopefully someone knows. The box that eliminates the slope of the hood that runs into the cap, is there a technical name for this? It seems pretty common on the MP15 series but, I think I've saw pictures of one SW1500 with it.

Wow...phenomenal work David! I really like the radiator fan detail. I did the same thing to a MP15 I detailed a while back. However, because I couldn't figure out how to make space for the depth needed to add the louvers in front of the fan I just mounted a fan behind the grill on top of the molded "louvers". It looks good but yours looks way better. I can't wait to see more build pics and finished ones!

i used plano mesh that was suggested by liz with her sw1500 build, don't have the number off the top of my head, works well and looks like the real mesh. great work on the model, it looks really good
