Looks good, but double check the spacing of the air tanks - the short and long tanks on each side are quite close together.

Nice work, have a question. Does somebody make the awnings (I'm not sure on the correct term for them) behind the cab, or did you make them yourself? I'm thinking of doing a SD40-3 for the GTW/CN and was just wondering.

Those are the snow shields behind the cab. Minitures by Eric makes them and I'm pretty sure details west or detail associates make them as we'll. there is one other person that makes them as we'll but one he's not really reliable to receive them so your better off with one of those. Great work on the cn6014 looking great.

I have hand made the "snowshields" for a GP40 a while back, it's quite easy. I just took styrene and cut it to size, but for the $3 or so you may as buy the part. I opted to use the Miniatures by Eric part for the "snowshields." They are brass castings. I order the bulk of my detail parts from Eric. He's based out of Alberta with very good prices and he is great to deal with. If you (or anyone) ever needs snowshields for a widecab, a Kaslo resin part is your best bet. John at Kaslo is also great to deal with and based out of British Colombia.
