Damian, I would suggest that you blend the colors of rust and grime into the white and blue so it looks a little more natural. Otherwise, good start!!

Thanks man. This unit is used on the NS heavily and I decided it didnt have enouff soot or coal dust. Imma go back and correct a few things but other than that I like it.

Damian, The last shots look more like what the real thing looks like at this point in time. Great job on the with making it look really used. What are you using to do your weathering? If it is ok Iwould like to give you what I think is a very important part in weathering, always remember "less is more". Now I am not saying there is anything wrong at all with what you have done up to this point.I just want you to remember that start off with going kinda light on any weathering you do,no matter if it is dust along the bottom or exhaust on top to rust streaks.Put your first light coat of weathering on the stand back and look at the overall engine and then compare it to pictures of the real thing. This will help you decide if you need to add more weathering or not. And I would also put a light coat of dullcoat between each different layers of weathering too. This helps seal your original work so it doesnt get "damaged" when you apply more weathering on top of what you have already done. If you go and look at the BNSF SD75I I did,I did that in many layers to get it to look like it does. dieseldetailer.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gen4&action=display&thread=8466Anway what you have done with great work Damian and keep it up because the more you do the better you get..

Damian that looks really good, it all mixed nicely together. I like the way it turned out. If anything else needs to be added it might be some soot around the exhaust stack. If you have powdered chalks I would use that. Otherwise looks awesome.

I had reworked the LANR's history so the roster is different I need to make a new thread for it.

That is nice! I like the weathering, and the radial trucks. i had that unit in my consist last summer, on a NS haulage train, on the D&H.
