Low Profile Dynacell air filter DA part# 2708 seen on late Paducah GP-8,10 and 11 rebuilt.
Or in your other thread, You are looking for an Kaslo gp-10, in The kit you have 6 or 7 type of air filter and the dynacell is included.

Thanks, I am trying to decide which to model the IAIS or the L&I, I already have a GP-9 drive and shell so it is a matter of figuring out which one to build.

For some reason, I recall Kaslo had a GP11 in the works...

Since I have been home from school I have been able to fit in a little modeling work between the holidays. I started with a Proto GP9 and went from there. Walkways Before: Walkways After: Still needs some modifications above the fuel tanks. Next up was the cab and sub base assembly. I used a cannon and Co cab and just reused the sub base that I cut off of the original walkways. They also where cut down a little. The nose was also chopped down. The final thing I got does was removing the louvers on the shell. they will be replaced with Plano's etched metal louver set. Before: After the Louvers are removed: -Andy

I have made a little progress on the locomotive. I have removed all of the doors on the fireman's side to make room for the blower housing and I added the air filter to the side of the locomotive. -Andy

Hmm, looks like the entire long hood was raised a bit. The hood doors are level with the added blower duct along the walkway on the conductor's side.

While debating on what to do with the conductor's side of the locomotive. I finished up the hand rails on the front and the engineer's side. Front: Engineer's Side:

This unit was looking good until I started painting it.... Got a nice orange peel look going on, so I stripped it and then put it away for awhile since I was pretty ticked I messed the paint up. But I just took it out of the box and It is in the paint shop now. I need to find some of the pictures of it right before I painted it the first time. Just thought I would give a little up date!

The Engineers Side is pretty well complete except for Decals and a little bit of detail painting

I am working on a Kaslo GP10 kit myself- my first real diesel project. What are the handrail stanchions you have used and how did you bend your handrails? I have been struggling with that big-time. Thanks, Steve

Steve, I just used the stock Proto stanchions and just glued them to the brass wire

Well it has been awhile since I have worked on this project since I decided to rip out my old lay out I built when 13. But I finally got around to getting the shell to fit on the frame! I am currently working on the custom decals and hopefully get them done this weekend. Work so far:
