Hello All!
Here's the cheapest model I've probably ever built. The frame and body have been kicking around in the junk bin forever, and maybe the total was around $50 all said and done.
LL body, Athearn GP38-2 chassis and trucks. Evergreen ribbed sheeting for roll up door, and Plano fan blanks. Other details per Amtrak.

No, I actually sold it on Ebay for $140! It made someone happy I'm sure.
Nice job BTW!

You are a lucky man!
It's just a coincidence but that is the same locomotive/"cabbage-car" that I ran on one of my qualifying trips at Amtrak.
I should still hit mine with a wash of road grime, though.

Nice looking model. Are you planning on putting the full lighting package on it? I need to dig mine out and finish that last detail.

Thanx! (you probably mean of 90219...8) No lighting, I did 90368 because it was the laziest version, still with all it's grillework intact. It was a smash together kit from my box of overflowing shells and frames. I built a UPY RCL sled, and an SDP45 using just cast off projects in this box...
