My favorite steam loco's would be the Russian Decapods 2-10-0's, ARCADE and ATTICA RR's No. 14 and 18. Obviously their 4-6-0 and 2-8-0. I have pictures somewhere of me as a 10 year old in the cab of both of ARCADE and ATTICA RR steam loco's,which my dad took.

By far my favorite is most any Ten Wheeler that was used. These beasts were useful for both freight and passenger service, with some remaining in service into the late-40s/early-50s era.

Anything GN
I would love a Z-6 challenger, but that would cost an arm and a leg for the brass one.
