Well I thought it would never come to this but I have to dismantle my layout in my parents house. Hopefully I will get my new layout in my house up and running in the next couple years. Enjoy the pictures here, the Abandonment process started last weekend. Matt

Matt, I have always seen the dismantling of a layout not as an end, but the beginning to an even better layout. You can use skills you've gained since you built the present layout to create an even more beautiful and prototypical layout. Best of luck to you! Christian

I know how you feel Matt, I'm in the process of taking down my layout (at 30'x40' triple/double deck) its going to take a while. I'm viewing it as a refreshing of skill. I'll be taking my track laying skill to the next level... All the mistakes I made will be gone on this layout (or so I hope!)

Jim,
The Background Building was at one time a Loco Maintenance Building by Bachmann. Now Out of Production. I cut the center section out and built the dackdrop building you see. I liked that Loco building but I wanted to see my power, not hide it in a building. Glad you like it.
Stephen, The GP40-2's are the Atlas Silver series. Nice Locomotives except for the crappy Airhorn. I wish Atlas would have used the Airhorn from their GP40 and GP38's. I will be replacing them soon.
