The Theme for the month of January is "I DID IT MY WAY" so what that means is FREELANCED RAILROADS. So, post pics of your Prototype Freelance Units. I realize not everyone does this, but there are other themes that some others could not do also. Here are 3 ALCO C-420s I did for my Freelanced RIVER RUN COSHOCTON & SOUTHERN.

Here's a few of the "new" fleet of EMDs that the UP&E has acquired. The UP&E is the University Park and Eastern, the protot-freelanced Penn State Model RR Club. We have recently updated eras, and the UP&E has purchased some second hand power EMDS, that include; 2 ex-Southern SD40-2 Highhoods 2 ex- NW SD40-2 2 ex- CSX GP40-2 2 ex- South Shore GP38-2 1 ex- GATX leasing SD40-2 Here are a few of them.......not all made it into the paintshop, so a few are patched, but not pictured. Thanks for looking, Rick

These are all great examples of the proto freelanced railroads!
Rick, I have to say I really like your UP&E engines, those N&W inspired skunk stripe schemes with the high hoods look awesome!

Rick that is a very sharp paintscheme.
Dave, the weathering on #401 looks supurb, for a second I thought it was the "green bean" from the IAIS fleet. Very nice.

I think this has been posted once before in the GE boards, but here it is again. It's a GE C40-8W that I painted for my "Chicago Milwaukee and Western" railroad. This was taken on my clubs modular railroad at the National Train Show this past year in Milwaukee. These were literally finished days before the show (I think you could still smell the paint)

Here's some pictures of my freelanced Hudson Valley Northern locomotives at work. First is GP40-2 #401 going up hill on the cement job: Second in our GE Switcher #28 taking some cars back to the yard:

Nice work Fred. Way to carry the paint scheme across locomotive generations.
