I was hoping to see the painted unit. Where did you get the decals you're planning to use.

Yeah, Curt, it is pretty much finished and I need to get it painted. The decals for the name/numbers were custom made by Highball Graphics. The stripes are going to be cut from white decal sheets with a paper cutter.

Did you get further on this build? I'd love to have an ICG SD28, but it seems like a heck of a lot of work...

All I need is paint and decals to finish it off. While it did get quite involved, I wanted an accurate representation of the locomotive as built. There are a few compromises, but overall, I am pleased with the outcome. an ICG version would probably be a little easier, however, there are some things that didn't change (rear sand filler location, etc.), but I think it would be worth the effort should you decide to do one. Of course, we would love to see you do the ICG 9450 0r 9451!
