I cut off the fuel tank but left just enough metal to support the motor. Since, I don't have a milling machine (still saving money), I had to sand down most of the metal to get it to an acceptable thickness about .20 thick. I then used automotive double sided tape to mount the motor. I was also fortunate that the Atlas frame has enough side bracing that I did not have to add additional bracing, you can see from the side picture that the frame is still in one piece. No engines, they do have traction motors. I saw one of these goofy units lashed up to a MP15 in Arkansas (UPY 173). It was definitely a double-taker. Cool model!!

You've done a good job of capturing the prototype. It's a good looking engine and I'm sure it turns heads every time it's displayed.

Nice work on the CCRCL 164. The units I saw in Elko did not have traction motors. They were mearly platforms for the RCL equipment. They were too light and sent packing back to Texas. UP was afraid that in the winter would walk off the rails when ice was packed in the road crossings in the yard.
