It still needs numbers in the number boards, and a Tsunami decoder/speaker enclosure, lights, and some little touch-ups.......but, its almost there!!
I'm not going to go any heavier on the weathering, as the program for these is mid era for me.......so I decided to take it a little easier on her than the Donner, Tehachapi, or (later) Moffat would have been.

Nicely done Rick. The weathering really completes the engine.

Who makes that brake wheel stand for the rear porch, CSX has them on some of their SD40-2's and would like to model that detail. BTW great job on your loco.

Cannon makes it, and you can find in any of their low short hood kits and possibly in the high short hood kit.

Also, the one I used is from Details West.....I can't remember the part number though Rick Details West part # 177 www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/235-177but I think the cannon piece looks a bit nicer, If you have the need for a Cannon hood, it is a freebie in every package, if not use the dw part/ On a side note I bet almost anyone that has used a cannon part has extra pieces that they are not using, post parts you are looking for, personally my back porch brakes are spoken for.
