I took this pic in Dec. 16 2008, its across the river and to the north from Nitro, WV. Its bangin hopper cars at a power plant.

Looks like a GE SL 110 to me....but it could be SL 144....hard to tell from this angle. If you have other shots you might be able to figure it out.

It is a GE SL 110, I looked at other pictures of the 110 and 144, the 110 has solid end railings and the 144 has a chain where you walk from one loco to another when coupled together, thanks for your help.

That is purely a customer option and not a valid basis for determining which type it is. The unit appears to be an SL110, the SL144s had a longer end platform and three handrail stanchions. www.northeast.railfan.net/images/gecx2.jpgLikely owned by Allegheny Power.
