Please allow me introduce myself,my name is Tom I now reside in Webster,NY after spending 40 years in HAMBURG,NY. I went to the same high school and graduated from which my dad was the superintendent at. I have been a model railroader since the 1970's (OK 1972) with S-SCALE (American Flyer) then in 1974 in HO-SCALE until September 1987. From June 1983 to May 1987 I resided in CANANDAIGUA,NY, I left my HO-SCALE layout at my childhood home in the care of my parents at that time. At the end of May 1987 I returned to HAMBURG,NY, In mid June 1987 I had three job offers in the BUFFALO,NY area I took two. After my return I packed up my HO-SCALE, then returned to modeling in N-SCALE due to the lack of space I had half of a 24'x 28' basement which allowed me to model in N-SCALE. However the house that I now have in Webster,NY has a 30' x 51' basement.

Here's a few railroads that I model. I lean towards modeling mine and my mothers hometown "the WNY area" 1. BUFFALO SOUTHERN 2. NEW YORK and LAKE ERIE 3. NEE-A.&GW.RR / EX-N.Y.P.& O. RR 4. L.S.&MS(NYC) 5. NKP
I lived 3 blocks from NYC's(CR's) now csx's BUFFALO - CHICAGO rail line and NKP'S now NS BUFFALO - BELLEVUE rail line, I saw at least 40 trains a day and at night heard another 40. Growing up not far from 2 railroads I became accustomed to rail fanning at an early age 6. Oh by the way my alarm clock was AMTRAK's LAKESHORE LIMITED "when it was actually on time"!! I saw the ALPHA-BET Route merger,PC merger and finally the conrail merger.
