All I can say is that is one super nice job you did on this tunnel motor. That's for sharing this build with us Kiro.

WOW! My vote for June bannerhead! I would need a better photo with room at the top and bottom for printing.

That's one amazing model, great job. As S.P. loco's should be, full light package, L window, and big plow.

For an original blue box model, great work with the detailing. You've got a lot of nicely done detailing. The overall picture is very impressive.

As many of you know I love the Tunnel Motors and this Bad Boy Rocks! I do have one question though and this may be something I should know considering how much I like these units but wasn't the L window only on the SD45T-2's ? This is a fantastic build and one day I will pick one of my units to try and take to this level of detail and realism. You have done a masterful job and are an inspiration to all like me that again one day will try and do a unit this professionally. Awesome T-2 Paulie

Railfan, Most if not all of the SP 40T-2"s had the L window, many SD40's and SD45's and even GP40's, 40X'S and GP38's had them as well when they rolled off the factory floor. I think that the 80's production all came with standard windows but not absolutely sure on that. I would say that SP had replaced most (99%) of the L windshields in the late 80's and early 90's.
This is one of the best Blue Box tunnel motor upgrades I have ever seen, great job!
