Excellent! I have to admit I have a soft spot for the oddball 80's GO power.

You need a well-ballasted locomotive to pull those Athearn cars, when you put a bunch together they're quite heavy (or don't roll very freely). Of course, GO often ran 2 unit consists. I've seen a few photos with doubleheaded GP40-2W's, and even a GP-APU-bilevels-GP.
That B-unit looks great! But it appears that you've got the shell on the wrong way...the fuel tank should be underneath the fans.

thanks for pointing that out, the shell is not attached yet so I'll just turn it around. I never thought about the GP40 not being able to pull all those cars, maybe I should have powered that B unit:)

Looks great, YOU could probably find a b- unit with power and maybe a decoder with sound, but then all the beauty or the chassis will have to be for the next project, YIkes!!

Looks like the GP40 has no problems pulling the 6 bi level cars and the B unit, I had it crawling on speed level 3 out of the yard with all the cars. I'd like to do some weathering to the B unit but I'm not very good at that.

Here are a couple images of the LED's. the wire I used was from an old motor, it's perfect for ditch lights.

Nice work with the light. I went and bought some magnet wire, never thought about taking some out from an old motor! Good idea!

looks great, nice job! what did you use for the electrical, power cords from the hep to the coaches? and what did you use for the plugs as well. I'm working on an onr apu. for the MU cables I used small gage wire and six Detail West MU receptacles. I think that the ONR HEP is a former GO unit, I have a few pictures that I found online I could email you.

I don't think they were GO units. I believe they all were ex-Milwaukee Road units.

OK--Here's how it went down. GO Transit's HeP units, (with the cabs) were from Ontario Northland--rebuilt for HEP service by the ONR Shops. they retained their controls, so that they could run the consists without turning the train or running the locomotive around to the other end. Ontario Northland's APU's (B-units) were from the Milwaukee Road.
