Updating an old switcher.

Hey guys,

I have a switcher that has been in the tool box for a long time. I went to use it as a test run for upgrading a loco. Something I expect to fail with on my first try, hence the test dummy.

Could I be directed at some good threads around here. I am visually impaired and scrolling through the forums is very difficult for me.

I want to strip the paint off, replace the motor (maybe), redo the trucks (maybe), attempt at super detailing it and making an interior. The model says AHM on the bottom. Looks to be a sw1500 maybe.

EMD SW-1 I have one of these that I painted in the Family Lines scheme about too many years ago to remember. I see that yours is missing the rubber traction tires just like mine.
