Those centuries look so good very nice work on both Thanks! Well, after taking a short break to build the GBW 309 shell for PNW Resins, I got back to work the the C630's. Finally got the drive train figured out on NW 138. After swapping motors, trying different drive shafts, and adjusting the trucks, I stumbled on the problem. No matter what I did, no matter how much lube was applied, it just seemed like the worm gears didn't want to turn. Turns out, the Atlas truck mounting clips were squeezing the bearings too tight, I swapped them with Stewart clips (which have tabs in the same spots), made some clearance adjustments, and BAM! She runs smooth as butter, and has a fantastic low speed creep. Finished the decals, and started applying grime. I know it looks a little excessive, but I use a weathering powder, so after some dullcoat, it'll be about half what it is now.

That is some great work, I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my Tyco c630s.

Nice velveteen rabbits! Question - are the cabs a separate part on the Tyco body? The Atlas pilots made a remarkable improvement - and saved you a lot of effort in fixing the pilots.

The Tyco body was a one-piece casting.

Beautiful kitbash. So many folks are missing out on the joy of doing such fine work in our hobby. It does not take any special talent, just patience, practice and perseverance.

Boy I sure have to give you credit you certainly did make it work okay I had my doubts but they look good from the pictures. I would have went the other route in order to frame from Stewart's cuz you can get the 628 or 6:30 and they fit the tycos only thing I can think of is fill in the holes at the bottom of the bodies. In any rate I don't know that I would have tried to use any of the blue box second first generation chassis I did it once and there's two big bald spots on my top of my head. Again thanks a bunch for sharing from the pictures they look great I'm happy they turned out it that well for you
