Hey Guys,
Has anyone built a steel mill or similar EMD SW 8/9/1200 Switcher with a "low Clearance Cab"? I've looked on Shapeways and for other sources to acquire one or more such cabs, but with no luck. Can any one help?
Thanks, Jeff Ont/Cdn.

That looks like a scratchbuilding job. It doesn't look like a very common version of the EMD low-clearance cab.

Wonder if there are drawings some where? I think these were Canada GM made, which may account for the different roof?

looks pretty much like a standard gm cab, with a flat roof just above the window line

Probably have to make a cab roof from scratch... Don't know the prototype well enough, but glad to hear cab is mostly same to top of windows. That does simplify things!

Looks like you could start with a standard cab and cut off the roof above the window line. After that it's a scratch building job for the new roof. Doesn't look too complicated though. Everything below the Windows looks pretty standard though, except for the split headlight on either side of the cab door.
