Hi All,
I am an HO scale modeller in British Columbia, being such I love BC Rail. I'm working on a small layout in my guest room and I have chosen a fictional setting in Northern British Columbia. The idea is to model what could have been if the BC rail line in Fort Nelson was extended to the Yukon. My layout focus's specifically on a small yard, station and engine service area in the town of Liard River during the fall of 1990.
I have engines in both the two tone green and the red, white and blue scheme, the idea is that the engines haven't all been repainted yet. I also have a few CN engines as well and the idea there is that CN and BC rail still have a close relationship so CN power is often seen on the north line.
As for my true passion in the hobby, I love engines, especially the bigger ones. I love the big MLW's and the SD40-2's and the Dash 8's. I really enjoy adding details to engines and such, especially lighting. I am just getting into modifying engines and have recently done a lot of work to a Rapido Dash-8 and am planning to add a lot of lights to my MLW's and SD40-2's.
I found this forum just recently and think this is the best resource I have found so far when it comes to detailing engines.
Looking forward to learning more.
Cheers, Brett
