Updates, It has been a while since I have done any work on models due to moving and vacation. These are the only two units not still packed in boxes. I pulled these out for some update pics. They still need some more work (and repairs) before they are ready for weathering. Here is the 438. It survived the move fairly well.

Your engines look good. Hope the list of repairs is limited to these two units.

It seems no matter how hard you try to protect your stuff in a move, they still tend to get damaged. I went trough that same routine when I moved 12 years ago. I couldn't believe how my engines got damaged. Both engines are real nice. My favorite is 475. Nice job!

Terry here is the site I use, there may be others paintshop.railfan.net/have fun and post stuff under the heading for this stuff, you can for the most part once saving an image open it up in either Paint(yep the simple program), corel Draw, or any similar program.

Terry thanks and no problem! To "make" the drawings I use the ones provided by Michael Eby of Trainiax and open them in one of the various paint shop programs. Once you get it figuered out, it can be quite addicting trainiax.net/mescaleloco.phpGood luck and post some pics when you get some done!

Hi Jim, I was wondering if you can explain to me how you installed your S&S grills for your tunnel motor? Do these grills still on top of the Athearn Frame or Inside between? Thanks and Great Job on your Projects
