Not yet. I see there's a few options...any suggestions?

For the F40C, which never strayed out of the Milwaukee District territory, the only options are 3 Brothers/Holgate & Reynolds cars, or fighting with the Island Model Works resin shell that isn't any better detailed.
The Walthers and Kato smooth-side Metra bilevels are NOT correct, and the Metra cab cars are complete foobies, as all of the cab cars were turned into trailers as part of getting repainted.
Myself, I never assembled my 3 Brothers kits because I couldn't get motivated to make the detailing match my Kato cars.
I would love to see Rapido tackle these. Maybe someday...

Yeah, I knew everything Kato would be wrong, and that the only real option is either Island Modelworks or Three Brothers...at this point in time I'm not too worried about getting a whole scoot put together. I was actually debating whether to model this one as a retired unit with all the lettering removed, pressed into lease fleet service.
It's a shame Island MW discontinued their Nippon cars though. Did you only have an issue with the detailing on their shells, or are they just low quality to begin with? I don't need them to be on Rapido's level; I'd be happy if they're just decently manufactured. They do have their Budd cars still available...a cab car and maybe 5 coaches would be enough for me.

The Nippon cars were physically too tall, and IIRC had a few other dimensional problems. The Budd version would be the correct one to use with an F40C. Onequicknova posted a long thread on building a cab car from the IMW shell on atlasrescueforum. It's at atlasrescueforum.proboards.com/thread/732/island-model-works-budd-level, but all the pictures got swept up in the Photobucket genocide. I've been fighting with another IMW "kit," and the quality of his stuff is just not great. By his own admission, he isn't a rivet counter and it shows in the models. In the end, the 3 Brothers cars would get built faster, but the IMW shell might make a more detailed model. I'm still holding out for a Rapido-level version. The Milwaukee scoots tended to be cab-car heavy. I've seen them as short as F40C-cab-cab, which was a typical weekend consist in the early 90s. Myself, I bought 2 cabs and 3 coaches to get a good mix.

Well, I guess we'll both have to wait and see if Rapido eventually produces them. Seems like there would be a fairly decent market for them...

Well, I guess we'll both have to wait and see if Rapido eventually produces them. Seems like there would be a fairly decent market for them... It would sell out outrageously insanely fast. It's only not been done because Athearn and Walthers think the cars are "too regional." These are the same companies noted for their extremely regional bias (DD40, U50, Milwaukee Union Station, etc.)...but I'm just raging now. Take a look at the prices bilevels are fetching on ebay right now...averaging $170/car for $30 cars! C&NW/RTA cars were hotly desired for 40 years, and didn't last long in the market. They're like the FL9...so many lives that they can be used over and over again in different places/eras.
