That side of 4525 shows what happens to allot of straight 38/39/40 series EMD's when they are rebuilt to -2 or higher standards. If you look at the electrical cabinet door, just behind the back of the cab, it's now a -2 style door. They are shorter and shut closed sitting on top of the sheet metal. Cool unit and build so far.

Slow moving on this. But after running a finger or two in to a table saw I'm doing ok.

Be careful how far you assemble the Cannon cab before painting, as you still have to get back in and add the window glazing. I leave the roof unattached.
Also, after painting, use a black sharpie to paint the window gaskets.
Last thought....when I did my numberboards, I painted them on the *back* of the clear glazing and decaled the front so that they look more realistic.

I think this ends the demolition phase of this build. Time to start the construction phase.

Nice project. I did his brother 4524 a few months ago. I like these CPs, and the idea of strobes on the roof for yard action.
May I suggest a LockSound decoder for the electronics. Mine just sounds awesome with that. At times, I use two Soundtraxx 8 ohms speakers installed in parallel, LS decoders being designed for a 4 Ohm speaker. Just my suggestion.

Not happy with the cannon and co fans.so much flash it was like working on a resins kit. Think I'll just put the old atlas fans back in.
