Here's two weathering projects I did last month for a good buddy of mine who is also a CP conductor! I actually used to own the CN 2253, but sold the unit to him a couple years ago. These are Intermountain ES44ACs, both sound equipped. I weathered them to modern time, so essentially to current. Using my usual method of acrylics and powder, these two turned out beautifully! One technique I tried out was the fading on the nose edges and slightly on the nose sides, using a very light application of white on my paint brush. I couldn't be more happier! When weathering CN diesels, it's important to never forget the spilled coffee streaks from the cab windows! Something I learned from Rob Arsenault! You can check out his stuff on his website at www.weathermytrains.com

They look very good Braedan !
I never though fading the edge. It sure give that model an edge ! Thanks for sharing your tips with us. I'll give it a try on my next project.

That is a fine weathering job, well placed dirt/grime, and quite believable!
