I need this photo etched set !!!! It was apparently some kind of special one time creation for a modeler named Terry Tsustumi. Luckily, I found a picture of this thing so I could have an idea on what others do to make the RPP shell look a little more convincing. I want to do an SD90 and an SD80, 2 locos total. Does anyone know where I can get two of these sets, maybe a 3rd, just in case I screw something up? If I can not find anyone who can provide this, is photo etching super difficult? Is there a better way to go about this? I have seen Bobby Pitts' model done with Tichy parts and it looks pretty good, but I still prefer the brass parts. Thanks for any information

Terry is sd45longhoodfoward on here... You could ask him. He's a friend of mine, I can see if he remembers who did it, next time I talk to him. ~ Carmine

I'd be quite interested in the etched parts too.

This is what pretty good looks like. And BTW the dynamic brake cooling fan on the RPP shell is way to small. I went to great links to make this model as accurate as possible and I think the grills I made look much better than the etch grills.

I rebuilt the dynamic brake top to the correct size. Notice the rivets and lift tabs.

Carmine, Chris, thank you both. I'm sorry I got upset, but the way pretty good was posted was pretty irritating. lol

Yes, the guy that started the thread is a arm chair modeler in my humble opinion. If I'm wrong, I apologize.

Regards, Bobby I wouldn't get offended by anyone understating the quality of your work, Bobby. Few people can consider themselves your contemporaries, and even fewer are in a position to grade what you do. For what it's worth, I have yet to find anything you have touched that's less than spectacular.
