Carmine, Chris and Mark, thank you for your input. Yes, it only took nine hours to complete this build. LOL

Great set of build flicks Bobby...thanks for posting them! I am always surprised when I see build pics after seeing the finished model. I would never have thought that much was done to the model. Nice work as usual and I hope to see more power from your bench Mr. Pitts!

Wow, outstanding work. Never would have thought either that this much work was needed to get that result!

Thank you Mike. It started out as a simple upgrade, but I kept seeing things that needed to be done.

Bobby~ Outstanding work on this model. The cw60ac is my all time favorite locomotive. Do you happen to know if Uncle Pete kept the HDL prime movers in them, or did they change them out for the GEVO 16 like CSX did? I miss the roar of the HDL's, you could hear them for 15min when they were coming up Washington Hill in Bancroft.

Thank you very much. It's my all time favorite too. Yes, they changed out all of the 6000hp engines and replaced them with the 4400hp PM. They have a single stack and a new number.

Indeed, UP swapped the HDL-16 for the FDL-16 making theirs effectively a bigger AC4400CW.

While there are no longer any "pure" cw60ac's left, They are still my favorite locomotive of all time. Although the production ET44ah's are starting to grown on me the more I see them, so they may be a close second to the cw60ac.
Sincerely, PVRR2647

I really like the brake chain and added piping detail.Very nice! Did you flush mount the larger diameter elbow pipe coming from the fuel tank or drill a hole and partially inserted it? Thanks

Thank you drudge. Yes, I drilled a hole for the pipe which is brass rod.

Do you happen to know off-hand what diameter brass rod you used for the pipe? I'm looking to put a similar pipe on a Dash 8-40BW.
Thanks

I don't remember, I just picked out the size that looked right. It's .040 I think. I have several sizes a friend gave me 15 years ago in a mailing tube. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
