This bulkhead car was scratched from the Walthers 52.6' model. I remember seeing these cars as a kid at Nouvelle, PQ carrying unwrapped lumber loads out of the Temrex mill. These were all ex CN cars painted by CFMG at ERS in Campbellton, NB, when they were first acquired in 1998. I believe all are scrapped now. Did you have plans for the center partitions or make them by eye? I'm interested in doing a few of these cars myself. What brand and shade of blue did you use?

No the stakes are from eye. The bottom piece is square brass tubing and the top piece is cut from styrene.
The colour is Model Master Ford Engine Blue.
The decals are from Walthers and Microscale, but some of the data is incorrect.

I'll have to take a look into that. The loading info would be the same and changing mine wouldn't be hard. I plan on building a second one as well. Do you happen to have a link to it?

Those chip cars are sweet. I need a whole mess of those cars for my future layout. Fortunately they aren't too hard to build.
