Got the frame/coupler mounts almost complete. the C channels are joined together on each end of the frame by a .08 spacer of styrene, the empty space between that and the walkway is filled by another block fastened to the walkway, the couple is then inserted thru the endplate and marked and drilled down thru the frame and into the block. The couple screw then holds the coupler in place and also holds the frame tight between the coupler and the walkway block. You must remove the coupler to remove the frame, but other than that it keeps the whole thing square and provides enough strength to pull a train load of cars, without compromising the end plate putting any pressure one the stairways. Pics will be shortly, camera battery dies, nuts!
