I have on a build of 3 Milwaukee Road SD10s. 2 will be from the first series of rebuilds which had the high profile HORST air filters. The last will be from the second series which had the low profile air filters which I will have to scratch build.
All 3 will be built from P2K SD7s and have been stripped and are awaiting the SD7 builds which are in progress to be completed.
Thanks for looking.
Bob

Very interesting, can't wait to see your progress. I did one of these about 10 years ago using a proto, from the first run though with the HORST filter. I'm curious how you'll build the low profile filter, post lots of pics!

I have been taking stock of my detail parts. Still have to find the HORST air filters and a couple of other items. I found my original build thread from before under my old user name here: dieseldetailer.proboards.com/thread/5858/finished-milwaukee-road-sd10-buildThis build will go much the same way. Better photos this time, however... I have learned a lot about photographing models over the past couple of years.

Here is a sneak peak at one of the SD7s I am just about finished with. This was a test photo on my diorama. Neither the diorama nor the locomotive are in a completed condition here.

That looks really nice!
Outside lighting really does so much for diorama shots.
Especially when the diorama look as good as yours does.
thanks for the photos!

It is looking more and more likely that I will have to scratch build the HORST AIR-FILTER housings for the 2 units that will need them. I have not been able to find the Detail Associates 229-2707 version anywhere. So this will be my first venture into building my own detail parts.

I'm getting down to the "nitty gritty" on the SD7 project. So, have started working on the SD10s now. If anyone would like to follow along, they may do so at www.milwaukeemodelers.net/index.php/topic,10173.0.html
