Wow! That is some very nice modeling!! I love the cooler on the back. Your diorama is freakin awesome too! I'm really liking the sunken tracks with buried tires in the middle. Just fantastic modeling all the way around. Bravo!

I like it. It's weathered enough to show work and wear but not abuse. The cooler is a nice touch too. If it was an SD40-2 there'd be room for a picnic on the porch.

I actually have a Southern SD40-2 awaiting abuse. lol I still haven't decided if I want to model it as it was "back in tha day", as a current Southern "museum" piece or add ditch lights and model it as it is in current NS livery....although I'm leaning to "workhorse back in tha day". Wow! That is some very nice modeling!! I love the cooler on the back. Your diorama is freakin awesome too! I'm really liking the sunken tracks with buried tires in the middle. Just fantastic modeling all the way around. Bravo! Thank you deez! Once I picked the main proto pic to use I knew the cooler was a must! I'm glad you like the dio...I also like the sunken track feature on the dio best.

very very nice with the sunlight on it Thanks Vince! I really wish I had waited until I got these better pics before I posted anything but oh well. Great looking switcher!!! Weathering is just great, not overdone. I Kike very much the Little cold storage behind the cab. Thank you lucas! Looks great. Where did you get the cooler behind the cab? Thanks William! I got the cooler from a leftover BLMA bridge support and magnet wire.

Thanks tamaman! Although, I'm a Pearl man myself. I do have two Tama Bubinga snare drums and they are totally awesome!

Hey Nick, you got that loco down to it's fingerprints! I had a feeling you made that cooler, did you also make the caged light on the edge of the cab? very cool indeed.
oh and, my latest guitar is an Ibanez...

Yep...I also scratched the light and cage. I sanded and glued a piece of fiber optic to a micro LED. Used magnet wire to build the "cage". Here is the finished light. ...and it works! Although you can tell it's small being on a HO model, this really puts it in perspective.

Awesome details, but what did you use for your ground cover especially the grass?

Awesome details, but what did you use for your ground cover especially the grass? Thanks rscott417! I used dirt from my yard, sifted. The "grass" is "Flock and Turf" from Scenic Express, Summer Lawn Blend. It was applied with a homemade static grass applicator.

Man. Your modeling is a work of art. Everything is Perfect. I was kinda hoping you would tell us that your caged Stobe light on the cab front is a ready made detail part but WOW..... You made that too & it lights up. More of the WOW factor. Thanks. Pete
